Kentico Training Frequently Asked Questions


REGISTRATION +30 days ahead

Once you have registered, a non-refundable 10% deposit in the form of a tax invoice will be delivered. Should your circumstances change and you are unable to attend a training event, you must contact Web Design Magic by no later than 30 days prior to the commencement of the training.  If you permanently cancel your booking your deposit will be kept to cover costs incurred in relation to your registration, however, you may postpone or change your booking date and the 10% deposit will be transferred to the new registration.

The course will be confirmed 30 days prior to the start date and a tax invoice generated for the balance of training will be payable within 7 days or the deposit forfeited. As with all financial agreements, final payment is your responsibility. If there is difficulty in processing your payment, we will contact you.

If a permanent cancellation is requested by the customer less than 30 days and more than 14 days prior to the training event a cancellation fee of 10% of the course rate will be incurred to cover costs incurred in relation to the registration. If postponement or a change of dates is required then the 10% can be transferred to a deposit for this new booking

If cancellation, postponement or a change of booking date is requested by the customer less than 14 days ahead of the training date a cancellation fee of 50% of the course rate will be incurred to cover administration and costs associated with the training venue and their associated cancellation fees. 
You will not be able to enter the training event unless you are fully paid and we encourage you attend to this as soon as possible. 
 
REGISTRATION less than 30 days ahead

If registration takes place less than 30 days prior to the training event then full payment is required on a 7 day tax invoice.

CANCELLLATION BY WEB DESIGN MAGIC

If the minimum number of attendees is not met then the course will be postponed or cancelled. Attendees may either request a deposit refund, alternate course date or negotiate Onsite Training.

Web Design Magic reserves the right to cancel training at any time with at least 30 days prior notice to our customers. Web Design Magic will not be held liable for any accommodation or travel costs incurred by the customer for bookings made prior to this 30 day period.

Please note: To ensure a fast and easy registration process and to streamline our events, final balance must be paid at least 3 weeks prior to the event. We accept cash, credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express occur a 3% charge), cheque or direct deposit.

Training on the Gold Coast will take place at the Web Design Magic Head Office at Burleigh.

In other cities, we use the services of Cliftons Training and Conference Venues.

There will be a lunch break of approximately 1 hour as well as regular breaks throughout the day. Lunch will be provided. Please let us know at the time of booking if you have dietary requirements.

Please note: Water will be made available throughout the training. You may want to bring your own water and seminar-friendly snacks to keep you refreshed throughout the day. 

We supply everything at our training including;

  • A computer for each attendee
  • Training notes, note pad and pen
  • Access to the latest Kentico installation
  • Lunch and continuous tea, coffee, water and light refreshments

We suggest you dress casually and comfortably. We recommend you dress in layers and bring a jacket or jumper in case the room temperature is cooler than you prefer. Please do not wear thongs or shorts as some of the venues may not allow you to enter the premises. When attending training in foreign countries, please be aware of  local cultures and dress expectations.

It is up to you to arrange your own accommodation.

If you would like to share a room, email our office with your request after you have reserved your room. Please include the training you are attending, where you are staying, your contact details and your permission for us to pass these details onto a potential room mate.

We will not guarantee you a room mate, but we are often able to help. Please note, we do this merely as a courtesy to assist training participants who request our help in this way in their desire to reduce costs. We cannot guarantee compatibility and are not responsible for arrangements or outcomes between individuals.

This course is for non-technical users who have no previous experience with Kentico CMS and need to learn the core capabilities and essential skills needed to manage a website.

DEV01 - Kentico Certified Developer Essentials

This course is intended for web developers with little or no previous Kentico CMS experience. Attendees are assumed to have programming experience. You will also have the opportunity to spend half a day with an expert who can help you make your new website a success! All attendees will also receive a free website review on the day.
